বাংলাদেশ সরকারী কর্ম কমিশন

Mr. AKM Aftab Hossain Pramanik is a member of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Administration Cadre belonging to 11th batch. He joined the post of ‘Member’ of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) on 22 October 2025. Prior to this, he served as Secretary to the Government, Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Mr. Pramanik performed in different capacities of the Government of Bangladesh (GoB) for more than 32 years. He was Chairman of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, Additional Secretary at the Secondary and Higher Education Division of Ministry of Education, Additional Secretary and Joint Secretary of Local Government Division, and Joint Secretary and Deputy Secretary at Economic Relations Division. He also served as First Secretary at Bangladesh Consulate General Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In the field of administration, he worked as Assistant Commissioner and Magistrate, Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Upazila Nirbahi Officer in Jamalpur, Narsingdi, and Natore respectively. While he was serving at Economic Relations Division, he received the ‘Integrity Award’ in recognition of his dedication, sincerity, honesty, dutifulness and professionalism. He obtained a Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) and Master of Social Science (MSS) degree in Public Administration, University of Dhaka.

Mr. Pramanik visited Thailand, the United Kingdom, Finland, Sweden, Singapore, India, Germany, KSA, the Netherlands, Australia, Malaysia, Japan, China and South Korea as a part of his professional career.

Mr. Pramanik is married to Mrs. Roksana Laizu and they have two sons, Abrar Mohammad Fuad and Ahnaf Mohammad Rakin.
